Bethany is a Registered Yoga Teacher and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She began practicing yoga at age 14 and has been teaching since 2011. The healing power of yoga for those struggling with body image, mental health, and trauma led Bethany to return to school to become a therapist. She earned her Master's in Social Work from the University of Michigan, where she led groups for people struggling with compulsive overeating. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and has experience in family therapy and trauma treatment. She utilizes mindfulness and yoga in her work with clients and is pursuing specialized training in mindfulness-based yoga therapy for eating disorders. As well as bringing therapeutic yoga to Neossia, Bethany is an outpatient therapist and IOP Director at Farrington Specialty Counseling. Bethany is also a Community Partner with the Yoga and Body Image Coalition.
